Mallory Casevechia, LPCMHSP

Mallory Casevechia graduated from the University of Tennessee with her bachelor’s in biology in 2013 and from Johnson University in 2016 with her master’s in clinical mental health counseling. She is a licensed professional counselor, with a mental health service provider and approved supervisor designation.

Her background in biological sciences strengthens her understanding of how the mind and the body are uniquely connected, and she incorporates that knowledge into her therapeutic framework.

Mallory’s experience in the mental health field has led her to work with individuals, couples, and groups in areas not limited to depression, anxiety, addiction, and trauma. She works primarily from a solution-focused, person-centered perspective to help clients work towards becoming their best selves. She utilizes dialectical behavior therapy skills, motivational interviewing, and a strengths-based approach to help clients gain awareness, knowledge, and skills for a brighter future.

Initially, Mallory worked with individuals, adults and adolescents, struggling against substance misuse and addiction in their transition to gain control over their lives. She helped those individuals take back their control to find new hope and a new way of living. Those experiences helped her uncover a passion for meeting clients where they are at and work with what they’ve got to become the best version of themselves.

When Mallory is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and dog, while getting outside as much as possible. She is an avid rock climber, enjoys yoga and reading, and loves to try new things and meet new people.

Interns

Our practice is delighted to offer internship opportunities to graduate students. They offer sessions at a special rate and are practicing the most up-to-date techniques and skills, under direct supervision of a licensed counselor.

Brooke Hilemon, BS

You’ve made it. You have taken the steps to get here. Oftentimes, when we take steps towards change, it can feel overwhelming and scary – but you are not alone. Whether you're facing personal struggles, relationship issues, or navigating the complexities of daily life, counseling can be a valuable addition to your healing process. As someone who is passionate about helping others reach their goals and grow, I would be honored to walk with you as we explore your thoughts and emotions.

Hi, I’m Brooke, and I’m so glad you’re here.

I am a graduate student therapist, currently studying to achieve a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Throughout my time in school, I have strived to cultivate a deep understanding of the human experience and have developed a passion for fostering positive change. I have had the opportunity to work with young adults on a range of issues including anxiety, depression, interpersonal issues, and stress management.

With a client-centered and emotions-focused approach, my desire for counseling sessions is to meet the unique needs and goals of each individual. I strongly believe in a collaborative and strengths-based approach, empowering my clients to discover their inner resources and resilience.

In my spare time, I can be found coaching tennis, making (and drinking) lots of coffee, playing with my cats and dog, or spending time with family, friends, and boyfriend. I enjoy a cozy night in with a warm mug in hand, watching my favorite shows or playing video games.

If this resonates with you, I would love to discuss what our collaboration could look like. I am so excited to meet you, and I can’t wait to start this journey together.

Ethel Ding, BS

Perhaps you’ve caught yourself thinking “This isn’t what I thought my life to look like,” or “I’m better than this.” Maybe the thought that crossed your mind was as simple as “I need help.” Asking for help is not always easy, and it takes strength to acknowledge your vulnerabilities. Whatever the reason that has led you on a search for a therapist, I commend you for your courage in taking this life-changing step.

Hi! My name is Ethel Ding, and I’m excited to help you on your journey toward healing and wholeness as a graduate therapist intern. I view my counseling profession as a calling to help those who are suffering, who feel the weight on their shoulders get heavier with every step, who are afraid of the darkness they are trying to suppress, and who are longing for a safe space where they can lay their burdens down. The work of therapy can be difficult, but it is also rewarding. While I cannot offer you a magic pill that will solve your problems (how I wish I could!), I aim to help you find a flicker of hope in a dark and broken world.

I have an eclectic approach to therapy, drawing from various theories, including person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, existential therapy, and solution-focused therapy. I have experience providing premarital counseling as well as supporting clients in areas such as self-identity, relational issues, life transitions, grief, anxiety, and depression.

During our time together, I will strive to connect with you as a person and collaborate with you in gaining the necessary skills to facilitate healing. I am passionate about multiculturalism, and it is important to me that I work with you to provide culturally sensitive care. This includes attending to the area of spirituality, which I am more than happy to incorporate into counseling if you so desire. I value your voice and want to make sure that you feel heard throughout the counseling process.

When I’m not at work, I like to cook or pursue artistic endeavors, such as painting and writing poetry. I also enjoy spending time with my friends and family over a warm drink.

If you are interested in working together, feel free to reach out to me. I look forward to embarking on this journey with you!
